Our team will greet you and take you to our office for a short briefing about the itinerary. If you’re carrying bulky luggage, we recommend repacking and bringing only the essentials for the adventure.
We’ll travel for 2 hours in a 4×4 vehicle to reach the Tambopata River, where we begin our boat journey to our eco-lodge: Monte Amazónico – Tambopata. Depending on your arrival time, you’ll enjoy a welcome breakfast or lunch.

We start the day early at 4:30 a.m. to witness one of the world’s most spectacular natural shows: the visit to El Chuncho Macaw Clay Lick, the largest of its kind on Earth.
During a 1.5-hour boat ride along the Tambopata River, you’ll have the chance to spot wildlife such as capybaras, tapirs, and, if you’re lucky, even a jaguar, South America’s most majestic big cat. Many travelers come back with unforgettable photos of these sightings.
At the clay lick, you’ll be amazed by hundreds of macaws and parrots from up to 11 different species that come to feed on the mineral-rich clay. Scarlet red, deep blue, emerald green—the colors of the Amazon come alive in the sky.
