Sandoval Lake Full Day:Peru amazon Sandoval Lake Reserve center found in the of part north between of River Madre de Dios and River Tambopata with incredible flora and fauna. The Sandoval Lake is located in the Tambopata National Reserve candamo. This lodge is on the banks of Lake Sandoval, considered as one of the most splendid view of sunset or sunrise, as its most active wildlife in the Peruvian Amazon also search tenenos excursions, monkeys, macaws and lick wolves rio in sandoval lake reserve and sandoval lake .
Pick-up and Transfer:
You’ll be welcomed and picked up from the Puerto Maldonado airport or coach terminal by a representative.
Transfer to the tour office where you can leave unnecessary large baggage but keep a backpack for personal items.
Boat Ride Down the Madre de Dios River:
Transfer to a local port and board a motorboat.
Enjoy a scenic journey down the Madre de Dios River, observing various mammal species along the way.
Trek to Sandoval Lake:
Reach the checkpoint of the Sandoval Lake Reserve and pass through.
Embark on a 3 km trek to reach Sandoval Lake.
Exploration of Sandoval Lake:
Take a canoe to explore Sandoval Lake and accommodate at the lake.
After lunch, sail the lake to observe its inhabitants including giant river otters, black caimans, and various bird species.
Evening Activities:
Return to the lodge for dinner.
Embark on an evening caiman observation on the lake guided by a professional naturalist Tour Guide.
Return Journey:
Board a canoe again to sail back over Sandoval Lake.
Walk to the checkpoint and sail the Madre de Dios River by a motorboat towards Puerto Maldonado.
Pick up baggage from the office.
Transfer to either the airport or coach terminal for departure.
You are welcomed and pick-up from the airport/coach terminal of Puerto Maldonado by our Representative to take you to our office where you can leave your large baggage not necessary for the trip, but you will need a backpack for personal items and more. Then, we transfer you to a local port where you board a motorboat
and navigate down the Madre de Dios River. On the way, we observe various mammal species such as turtles, birds, lizards, monkeys , caimans, etc., until we reach a checkpoint of the Sandoval Lake Reserve. We pass a check and start walking for 3 km to reach Sandoval Lake where we take a canoe bringing us to the Sandoval Lake , There, we accommodate ourselves and after lunch we return padding the lake to see its typical inhabitants – giant river otters, black caimans, a prehistoric bird shansho, herons, cormorants, kingfisher, etc. For dinner, we return to the lodge to later get back to the lake again, this time to undertake an evening caiman observation because caimans are nocturnal animals. Our professional naturalist Tour Guide shows and explains us about these animals.Afterwards, we get ready for a return way boarding a canoe again to sail over the Sandoval Lake followed by a walk to the checkpoint and from there sailing the Madre de Dios River by a motorboat towards Puerto Maldonado. We pick our baggage up in our office and then, we are transferred either to the airport or the coach terminal. End of service
