Day 1: Welcome & Jungle Exploration – Travel in the Amazon
- Reception at the airport or bus terminal
- Transfer to our office for a tour briefing, followed by boat transport
- 1-hour boat ride on the Madre de Dios River to the lodge
- Welcome drink made with regional fruits and check-in to private rooms
- Introductory 2-hour jungle walk with expert local guides. Discover ancient trees and spot toucans, parrots, monkeys, snakes, and butterflies
Traditional Amazonian lunch
Visit to Monkey Island, home to species like squirrel monkeys, tamarins, white-faced and brown capuchins
Evening:
- Night river excursion for caiman spotting along the shores of the Madre de Dios
- Possible sighting of capybaras – the world’s largest rodent
- Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day 2: Travel in the Amazon – Lake Sandoval & Night Walk .
After breakfast, visit Lake Sandoval, one of the largest and most biodiverse areas in Tambopata
- 3 km jungle trek to the lake (home to piranhas)
- Rowboat tour for bird and monkey watching: hoatzins, herons, cormorants, howler monkeys, tamarins, and more
- Possible encounters with giant river otters and large caimans
Afternoon:
Return to the lodge for lunch
Evening:
- Guided night walk to find insects, amphibians, reptiles, and other nocturnal wildlife
- Dinner and rest at the lodge –tour amazon manu
Day 3: Canopy Sunrise & Return
5:30 a.m.: Begin the day with a once-in-a-lifetime canopy experience – walk across hanging bridges 30 meters above ground
Take in panoramic views of the Amazon and the Madre de Dios River
Birdwatching from elevated platforms: toucans, macaws, and more
Breakfast
Return to Puerto Maldonado for departure – ending an unforgettable adventure
